How do I find my photos in the website? You can locate your photos by inserting your bike or car registration number, sail number or boat name into the search at the top right of each page. You can also look at photos by the event name. Either go to the event name by the search, or click on the EVENTS button at left on all pages and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the event name.
If you have recorded your image number [IMG] from the proof sheets at a rally, you can also enter this number into the keywords as an additional search method to refine your search.
Please note: All bike images prior to July 2009 are by event only, you will not find these in the Bikes section or by using IMG or REGO numbers, you will need to browse through the images using keyword searches such as Thunderide, Group Photo, Gymkhana. You can also click on the Events button and click on an event, then narrow your search using keywords.
I know you took our photo but have not located it by using the search, what should I do? Read the above FAQ and if this does not assist then perhaps we have entered your registration number incorrectly, for example, a number 5 instead of a letter S, or the number zero instead of the letter O. Also try inserting a hyphen instead of a space OR and space instead of a hyphen in your registration number. Also any photos which coud not be identified by registration number [eg tow ball or flag over plate] have been saved with the keyword 'unknown'. Type 'unknown' into the search and then browse through these images. If you were towing a trailer we may not have been able to identify your bike rego, so type your trailer rego into the search instead. Contact us with any questions and we will be happy to help with your search or any info.
How often does HDimagetank add images to the website? As we complete the photography of a rally or a day's photography [eg a Sunday on Mount Glorious] we will commence uploading of photos within 24 hours, in the case of a rally with sometimes thousands of bikes it can take a number of days up to a fortnight. Mount Glorious photos taken on a weekend will usually be uploaded within 48 hours, so just keep checking back as the images will come online in batches.
We are also continuously adding images from our archives over the next months, so please check the news regularly for updates on images added to the website for earlier events.
I did a search for all the photos of an event, but only 2000 came up in the result and I know there should be many more...why is this? There could be several thousand, even ten thousand images in one simple search – for example Phillip Island Superbikes – and a large number in a search result can be a problem for some people if they don't have a high speed browser. We have limited each search to 2000 images, so the website finds the first 2000 images for that search. We recommend you narrow your search by using your rego or typing in key words from an event – for example 'thunderide location 1' or 'Assembly before thunderide' and the name of your event or year.
What format are the digital photos in? All HDimagetank photos are taken in high resolution format and are compressed to approximately 1.5MB Jpeg ideal for all your everyday needs. You can use your digital image to create a print up to 12”x18” in size as well as for any other personal use, for example screensavers, digital photo frames, email to friends and family for personal albums, as well as on facebook.
Am I able to print larger formats from my downloaded digital jpeg? See the FAQ above explaining the maximum recommended print size from the downloaded jpeg. You can print your image at a larger size but the quality would be reduced. If you would like a larger print than 12”x18” from your photo, contact us by email. The photos are taken at an 18MB file size and are too large to include in the image library on the website. To email the full high resolution image costs $35 and you would need to have the ability via your service provider to receive files this large [$60 for two images, $90 for three images]. We can post out your images on disk if email isn't an option, just allow $5 postage and handling.
I would like a customised poster but I have a specific request that isn’t available in your templates, what can I do? Please contact us by email with your request and we would happy to discuss your specific poster needs.

Can I use one of my own images in the poster?
